Our project explores the utilisation of Kinect v2 sensor as an alternative game controller for mesh-manipulation. By leveraging the depth sensing capabilities of the Kinect v2, hand movements made by the user are translated into grey values and remapped for real-time manipulation of 3D meshes. The project investigates the precision and responsiveness of the Kinect v2, comparing its performance to traditional mouse and keyboard inputs. The ╬×ndings of our user study have the potential to enhance the gaming experience by providing a new, more intuitive and immersive way of controlling 3D objects in virtual environments. This work contributes to the ╬×eld of human-computer interaction by showcasing the potential of using depth sensing technology in gaming.
