Zu den Sternen greifen

This work focuses on a simple way of wall decoration through interaction with the Kinect during the Christmas season. The application is designed for public buildings (museums, cafes, fairs, etc.) where multiple strangers come together. It involves the "creation" of individual stars by assembling individual triangle outlines. Each visitor to the installation is given a triangle to "attach", which they can alter through movement in space. The system indirectly encourages visitors to interact with each other because only together is it possible to fix their own triangles and form stars from triangles. A second mode allows for the editing of the stars.
